Your First 30 Days
A simple four-week plan to set up and start posting your work, then what to post after every event.
This isn't a 30-day challenge that ends. The first 30 days set you up and build the habit. After that, you keep going: every job you finish is something new to post.
Each week takes a few focused sessions, not a full-time effort.
Goal: a complete profile that says what you do and where.
-
Do this first, on day one: confirm your email and finish the five-item checklist on your dashboard so your profile goes public. New Bartender: Start Here
-
Fill in every profile section and replace any placeholder image. Finish Your Profile
-
Select every service you genuinely offer. Add Your Services
-
Set the service areas you actually serve. Add Your Service Areas
-
Request your custom URL. Request Your Custom URL
Goal: start posting your real work.
- Post an Event Album for your most recent event, with Event City & State filled in and every photo titled. Post Every Event as an Album
- Post albums for two or three earlier events, ideally from different cities or event types.
- No event photos yet? Do a styled photo shoot so clients can see who you are and what you'll bring.
- Add one video of you at work. Add Photos and Video
Goal: let real clients speak for you.
- Get your review link and save it to your phone. Ask for Reviews
- Send a short review request to three to five recent clients.
- Once your custom URL is live, add it to your Google Business Profile, social bios, and email signature. Link Your Google Business Profile
Goal: add your knowledge and round out your offers.
- Publish your first article, either by writing it or by answering a few questions. Write or Request Articles
- Add a Package for the service you're booked for most, and an Experience for each class or tasting you run. Packages and Experiences
- Thank anyone who left a review with a short public reply.
What you'll have built by day 30
- A complete profile, with your real services and the cities you serve
- Three or four Event Albums from real events, each with its city and titled photos
- At least one video of you at work
- Review requests out to your recent clients
- Your first article
- Your FindBartenders link on Google, your socials and your email signature
That's dozens of pages connected to you, built from work you'd already done.
Then keep going: after every event
Every job you finish is something new to post. Do this within a day or two of every event, while the photos and details are fresh.
Post the Event Album
Title it with the event type and the city, fill in Event City & State, add the Venue if the client is happy to show it, and pick the category. Add an Event Album
Title every photo
Name the event, the service and the city on each one. Every titled photo is its own page.
Ask for the review
Send your review link while the client is still happy about the night. Request Reviews
Add the video
Got a clip? Post it on YouTube or Vimeo, then add it to FindBartenders with the city where you filmed it.
Write it up if there's a story
A memorable event or a lesson learned can become an article. Write it yourself or answer a few questions and have it written for you.
Update your profile if something's new
First time offering a service, or a new area you'll keep working in? Add it to your services or service areas.
Share it
Post the album on your social accounts and share your FindBartenders link. Then do it all again after the next event.
Your ongoing rhythm
| How often | What to do |
|---|---|
| After every event | Post the Event Album, ask for the review, add any video |
| Every day | Reply to every potential client: phone calls, messages from your profile, and event opportunities in Manage Leads. See Respond to Every Potential Client |
| Every month | Add an article, a video, or a new Experience or Package |
| When something changes | Update your services and service areas. See Keep adding your work |
| Now and then | Check What's New for new things you can add |
How one booking leads to the next
Get found → Get contacted → Win the work → Do the work → Post the work → Build more proof → Get found again
Every event you post adds more of your work for people to find. The next client who looks sees more events, more cities, more reviews, more photos and more services than the last one did.
